An increasing number of businesses are becoming more concerned with the environment, and major paint manufacturers have responded by creating a wide range of low-VOC (volatile organic compound) paints. VOCs are chemicals in paints that add to smog and pollution while also being harmful to people’s health.
“Green” paints are now being used by professional commercial contractors; these products often contain sustainable raw materials, such as sunflower oil and soy, which leads to fewer harmful pollutants being released into the atmosphere. An increasing number of these formulas are easier to clean than traditional paint and resist mildew and bacteria better.
